Synopsis[]

1981: Ruth Hopkins Reid is laid to rest in a lush green cemetery. As many of her friends and loved ones begin to lead, the immediate Reid family still lingers: (Britt I, Britt II, Diana, Alan, and Paul). After an upset and angered Diana leaves, the two Britts ponder what exactly is making her act so coldly to the rest of the family.

A week later, Lenore Case is greeted by Britt II at the city airport. Later that night, after a nice candle-lit dinner on the penthouse balcony, Britt II proposes to Casey, which she happily says "yes".

Six months later, a white-clad ninja fights his way through a warehouse packed to the brim with armed thugs. As this "White Ninja" deals with one large brute, the film's director calls cut, and the studio lights come on. The White Ninja is, in fact, Hayashi Kato (now going by the stage name Tiger Takamoro), who receives a letter from Britt II where he requests that Hayashi be his best man at his upcoming wedding.

At the wedding reception a few weeks later, Paul Reid meets Mishi Kato. Meanwhile, Hayashi signs autographs, and Casey's father, Leland Case, gifts the newlyweds with a honeymoon in Bermuda.

By 1983, Britt II and Lenore had one son, named Daniel John Reid. One day while the two older Britts were sitting in the den, Alan approached the two with the intent of discussing his post-college career, and proclaimed that he wanted to become the new Green Hornet. At first, both Britts were stunned that Alan knew, as they had taken many measures to make sure that the two young Reids didn't know, but Alan eventually confesses that he and Paul discovered the original Black Beauty in the Estate's stables years ago.

1986: In an old tool and dye shop, Angela and David DeVane execute "Arnie The Lip", who they believe is a snitch, and booby-trap the building with dynamite for their arriving company.

At the Reid Estate, Alan (now dressed in his more "modern" take of the Green Hornet's costume) and Hayashi are going over some last minuet advice and preparation from the two Britts before they depart for their meeting with Arnie. Pulling up to the tool and dye shop, Alan says for Kato to wait there, as Arnie only expects him to be coming. As soon as Alan turns the knob of the shop's door, a massive explosion destroys the wall, with Alan directly feeling the full force of the blast.
