Synopsis[]
March 28th, 1942: In the heart of Nazi Germany, Adolf Hitler meets with Baroness Gretchen Wagemüten, the leader of the Schatten Kriegers. Hitler personally approves of a secret mission of the Baroness' own creation called Operation Double Strike.
Two months later, The Green Hornet and his valet Kato are busy dealing with a sudden wave of gang activities, which they discover has been initiated by gangster Tony Caltone. While the Hornet deals with preventing a gang war at night, by day, Britt Reid is approached by Major Leland Case of United States Army Intelligence to become a "special agent" to help uncover any German spies that may be responsible for the crime wave across the city.
Upon his return to the Daily Sentinel office, Britt is given a tip from freelance writer Walt Gibson that Tony Caltone is calling a meeting of the city's mafia bosses at a warehouse that night. After leaving Reid's office, Walt steps into a phone booth and calls his "Master", an eagle-nosed man shrouded by the shadows of a dark office.
Later that night, Tony Caltone is murdered by Gretchen Wagemüten and one of her bandage wrapped thugs, who reveals that extensive surgery has made him a dead-ringer for the American crime boss they have just killed. As the meeting begins, The Green Hornet and Kato arrive and sneak around the warehouse, eventually discovering Caltone's body in a hidden room.
The two vigilantes make there presence known, as show the mafia bosses Tony's body, with all of them realizing that the Caltone they've been talking to is a German spy. "Tony" agrees to be interrogated by the Hornet, but not before leading him over a trap door built into the floor of the warehouse. Kato reacts quick enough to grab the Hornet's hand, but his grip is failing as "Tony's" thugs surround him...
