Michael Axford, usually referred to by his friends and associates as Mike, is a character who appeared in the Green Hornet television series and its related media. He is a reporter at The Sentinel newspaper and is obsessed with unmasking and bringing to justice the masked vigilante known as the Green Hornet, whom he and the general public believe to be a criminal mastermind. Axford is unaware that his employer, newspaper publisher and prominent citizen Britt Reid is secretly the hornet. Axford was portrayed by American actor Lloyd Gough and appeared in every episode of the series.
