Kato was a recurring character in the film serials, The Green Hornet and The Green Hornet Strikes Again! Much like other iterations of the character, these appearances depicted him as the crimefighting partner of the Green Hornet and the valet of Britt Reid in his civilian life. He was played in the serials by Chinese American actor Keye Luke.
