The 8th issue of Green Hornet Comics was a comic book published by Harvey Comics. It was released on June 9, 1942 with an August 1942 cover date. It was the second Green Hornet comic book published by Harvey Comics, who had succeeded Helnit Publishing in publishing the series, and kept the numbering from the previous publisher.
The issue contained three Green Hornet stories: the eight page "The Case of the Parrot," the eight page "The Case of Charlie the Midget," and the three page text story "The Story Behind the Cover." It also included a two page "Green Hornet Buzzers" section.
This issue is also notable for its cover, which includes the first visual depiction of the Green Hornet in his signature ensemble of green hat, mask, jacket, and trousers. Prior to this, the character's only green article of clothing had typically been his mask. This outfit became his standard cover appearance for the during of the Harvey Comics run, and later carried over into depictions in other forms of media, however, he continued to appear in variously colored outfits within the pages of the comic.
