The writer of the original Green Hornet radio series, Fran Striker, carried over the character of Michael Axford from the radio program Manhunters. Actor Jim Irwin played the role of Michael Axford on both programs. In serials The Green Hornet and The Green Hornet Strikes Again!, the character is played by Wade Boteler. Actor Lloyd Gough played him in the television series The Green Hornet.
